1. Acceptance of these terms
By using Humans of Valor Pro Bono Connect, submitting a client request, creating a provider profile, or accessing a dashboard, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Purpose of the service
Pro Bono Connect is a technology and advocacy platform operated by Humans of Valor to make it easier for people to request support and for eligible service providers to receive and respond to suitable requests. The platform is intended to support access, coordination, referral, and communication. It is not an emergency service.
3. Humans of Valor's role
Humans of Valor provides the technology, routing, administration, and advocacy support that helps clients and service providers find each other more easily. Humans of Valor is not the provider of every listed professional service and does not replace professional advice, independent assessment, or the direct relationship between a client and a provider.
4. Client decision and provider relationship
Clients decide whether, when, and how to engage with any service provider. A match, referral, notification, or provider acceptance does not require a client to proceed with a service. Any engagement, appointment, advice, document review, treatment, representation, or follow-up between a client and a provider is based on the client's own decision and the provider's own professional obligations.
5. Provider responsibilities
Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their signup information, Business Registration Document, licenses or certifications, service description, capacity, professional conduct, confidentiality obligations, and all services they choose to provide. Provider activation, KYB review, or email verification does not guarantee endorsement, suitability, availability, outcome, or professional performance.
6. Client responsibilities
Clients should provide accurate contact and request information, verify their email address, avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information, and respond honestly to providers or Humans of Valor staff. Clients should seek emergency help from emergency services or crisis resources where needed.
7. No guarantee of outcome
Humans of Valor does not guarantee that a request will be accepted, that a provider will be available, that a provider will contact a client within a particular time, or that any service will produce a particular result. Service availability depends on provider capacity, location, category, eligibility, and other practical factors.
8. Account access and security
Providers and staff are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for notifying Humans of Valor if unauthorized access is suspected. We may suspend or restrict access where needed to protect users, data, the platform, or service integrity.
9. Acceptable use
Users must not submit false information, impersonate another person, upload harmful files, misuse client or provider information, harass others, attempt unauthorized access, or use the platform for unlawful, exploitative, discriminatory, or abusive purposes.
10. Privacy
Use of the platform involves collection, use, and sharing of information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that information may be used to operate routing, notifications, verification, KYB review, provider dashboards, and administrative follow-up.
11. Changes, availability, and termination
We may update, pause, change, or discontinue parts of the service. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
